UNSPOKEN πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘

We know that theory and practice are different, but do we really realize how shockinly different they could be? In my twenty-something years of life and with the little experience I’ve managed to gather, I realize that hearing, reading, assuming, thinking about something is SO different from experiencing the thing. There are many things people will tell us about their journey with God BUT there are many other things that remain untold-unspoken.

When you were receiving the life of Christ, they told you that you’ll experience so much peace, joy, riches, change, transformation, and so much more… and that your life “will never be the same again”; they’re not wrong, in fact it’s absolutely true but some other things remain unspoken.Β The fact that somethings are untold , many people are unaware of them and often when the topic of these unspoken things come up, controversies and judgements arise.

When you look at that choir leader, that pastor, that devoted christian guy, that handsome pianist, that preacher’s kid, you probably assume he/she has it all together because of the way he/she ‘s ministering; when you read my posts about God, you watch me preach, you read my blog, you probably assume that things are so perfect, that I know it all, that I really know this God I’m talking about; but it’s amazingly shocking how many Christians are suffering out there and the sad thing is, they can’t even talk about it because every other person assumes they’re doing fine. The fact that certain things are untold makes them feel ashamed, guilty, unworthy to share their struggles, or to talk about their experiences. They feel like they will not be understood and as a result they will be judged. On the other side, the non christians or the less devoted ones feel uneasy sharing their struggles with the devoted ones because they assume those ones can’t understand or relate because they “have it all together”.

You discover some young christians suffering from masturbation, pastors dealing with fornication, preachers struggling in their walk with God, others struggling with addictions, inferiority complex and so much more but these things are unspoken of in the church.

The challenges I have faced in this walk, and the frustrations that sometimes knock at my door… huummm! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ you even ask yourself if you’re on the right path BUT talking about it (with the right people of course!! πŸ˜ƒ) has been of tremendous help and the encouragement and motivation given have helped me to keep going.

This is to inform or remind us that men and women of God, devoted Christians, choir members, “big people”, “serious people”, new converts, old converts and just about everybody have serious challenges, they break down too, they need a listening ear too, they deserve understanding and no judgement because the walk with God can be bumpy and tiring sometimes.

Paul the Apostle always wrote to his children in the Lord even when he was in prison, to encourage them, to uplift them, to remind them, to help them because he knew that things get rough at times and we all need a pat on the back once in a while. He had weaknesses himself and saw God’s grace in those weaknesses that’s why He said to the church in Corinth that ”Β Each time he said, β€œMy grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2Corinthians 12:9.

If you’re going through challenges, a particular weakness, an addiction, frustration, God knows, He sees, He hears….but I know it sometimes feels like He’s gone silent or something—- You can get help! It’s okay to get help, Godly counsel is what you need. We’re one body – the body of Christ, so we’re there to encourage, motivate, uplift and help each other.

🌻  So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 🌻

🌻 Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 🌻

You’re not the worst person on earth, you’re not a sinner, you’re not condemned and you can go through it – but don’t remain in your corner and suffer alone. God speaks through people, He encourages us through others so i tell you sister, brother, it’s OKAY to talk, it’s OKAY to cry and get help.

Those people you see being so strong, so devoted, so faithful with God, so wealthy, so joyful, it’s ALL GRACE! They aren’t super people and they’ve got weaknesses too.

People are different, people’s walks with God are different, you don’t necessarily know what someone is going through, you can’t assume, no you can’t do that… let’s be kindhearted, understanding, non-judgemental and allow God to speak to someone’s heart through us.

God’s power and grace will be shown in those weaknesses; be rest assured of that.

You Β are the level of God that people see; how much of God will people see through you?IMG_6280
